Karlovy Vary is situated at the foothill of the Krušné Mountains. Within 30 km from the city are ski resorts offering downhill and cross-country skiing and snowboarding in several snow parks.

Cross-country tracks along the Krušné Mountains route

This marked route running on the ridge of the Krušné Mountains crosses the German border in several places. It serves a multitude of purposes - in winter, it is conquered by cross-country skiers who are delighted with the beautiful view of the Krušné Mountains from the well maintained cross-country tracks. In summer, the track provides ideal hiking and biking paths. The route passes through these communities, amongst others: Boží Dar, Abertamy, or Horní Blatná.

Evening cross-country skiing in Pernink

A special track awaits cross-country skiing lovers in Nejdecka Street in Pernink. A 1 km long, mechanically maintained track is suitable for classical skiing and skate skiing. The circular track can be used during the day and then from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. when it is lit.
