The Karlovy Vary Carnival Will Take Over the Streets in the Centre of the City

On Saturday, 7 June 2014, the spa centre of Karlovy Vary will liven up with the Karlovy Vary Carnival. The streets of the spa town will be flooded by the carnival parade with the central theme "Everyone Has Their Double".

The parade of the Karlovy Vary Carnival will feature ABBA, President Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk or Marilyn Monroe in an open cabriolet escorted by a team of Czech hockey players. Naturally, famous personages who are inseparably linked to Karlovy Vary will also appear among the paraders. Jan Becher will prepare his world-famous liqueur and Heinrich Mattoni will see to the drinking regime of the participants. Everyone is welcomed to participate, with or without a mask. You have a chance to become the carnival king or queen, all you need to do is use your imagination to the fullest and dress up as someone famous.
The parade will start at 2:00 pm in T. G. Masaryk Avenue in front of the Becherovka Museum and it will march through the centre of Karlovy Vary across the Mill Colonnade towards Grandhotel Pupp, where a short stop with an entertainment program is planned. From there, the parade will continue towards Divadelní Square and around the Hot Spring to the Thermal Hotel. In the open space in front of the Thermal, an abundant entertainment program will be prepared for the carnival participants and the public.

You certainly should not miss the 5km long romantic night cruise through the spa centre of Karlovy Vary, which will take place on Friday, 6 June 2014. The voyage in inflatable rafts and canoes through the night city will surely be an unforgettable romantic experience.
