Japanese Garden in Karlovy Vary

This unique Japanese Garden is part of a large English-style park around the Parkhotel Richmond. In addition to the Japanese-style garden, there are several statues, monuments and other attractions.

If you are going to head for the Japanese Garden, to see bonsai or sakura, you will be disappointed. It is because the garden is composed of stones. The place is supposed to symbolize water and to serve mainly for meditation. The author of this garden is Masumi Schmidt-Murakami, a Japanese living in Germany.
